aBOUT TAMARA

Movement is how we come home to ourselves.

Hi, I'm Tamara. I built Movment Lab after my own journey of disconnection — and finding my way back through movement.

I understand what it's like to feel like a stranger in your own body. To push through the fatigue, the tightness, the pain — because stopping feels like failure. I've been there. This work came out of that experience.

"I'll meet you exactly where you are.
Then I'll playfully dare you to go a little further than you thought you could."

My students don't need a drill sergeant. They need someone who sees what they're capable of — sometimes before they do — and knows exactly how to bring it out. Not by force. By curiosity. By challenge dressed up as play.

The encouragement I offer isn't the kind you brace for. It's the kind that surprises you. The gentle nudge that becomes a breakthrough. The moment your inner child remembers that moving your body is actually fun.

my story

I know what it feels like to be disconnected.

For years I did what most high-functioning people do — I kept showing up for everything and everyone, while quietly ignoring what my own body was trying to tell me. The tension that never quite went away. The fatigue that rest didn't fix. The feeling of being numb to myself.

Movement changed that. Not intense, push-through-it movement. Intentional, body-aware movement that helped me feel where I was holding, where I was bracing, where I had stopped trusting myself.

"When I finally learned to listen to my body instead of fight it, everything changed. I built Movment Lab so others could find that same path home."

I trained in comprehensive Pilates and became certified in the Oov — a movement tool unlike anything I'd encountered. Together, they became the foundation of a practice that is less about exercise and more about reconnection.

HOW I WORK

We start with what your body can feel.

Most programs focus on output — reps, resistance, results. I focus on input: what information is your body receiving, and how is it responding? When we change the input, the body changes on its own.

This is why the same work that helps a stressed-out professional release neck tension also helps an older adult regain balance — and helps an athlete move without compensation. The nervous system is the key, and the nervous system responds to safety, not pressure.

01

Feel

We start with awareness — noticing what's tight, what's guarded, what's ready to move.

02

Find

We discover what your body needs — not what a program says it should do.

03

Balance

We create lasting change by giving the nervous system what it needs to reorganize.

04

Trust

You leave each session feeling more capable — not depleted — building trust in your body again.

The work I do requires more than technique. It requires the ability to meet each person where they are — and know how to help them move forward from there. I've invested in training that reflects that belief.

THIS IS FOR SOMEONE LIKE ME.

You'll be seen here. Not just trained.

From the very first session, I'm listening — not just to what you say, but to what your body is telling me. Where it's holding. Where it's bracing. Where it's ready to open up.

We move at your pace. There's no script, no one-size-fits-all program, no pushing through discomfort to prove something. Every session is built around where you are that day.

"I didn't realize how disconnected from my body I had become until I started working with Tamara."
